1. Who We Are
MatchupSkills (matchupskills.id) is an AI-powered interactive learning platform. When we say "we", "us", or "MatchupSkills" in this policy, we mean the team operating matchupskills.id. Contact us at hello@matchupskills.id.
2. Data We Collect
Account data
When you sign up via Google (Clerk), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We store your email and Clerk user ID in our database to manage your account.
Usage data
We store your learning sessions (mode, topics, conversation history, dimension scores) so you can review your history and generate reports.
Content you upload
Documents, images, or links you submit to create learning experiences. These are processed to generate the experience and then retained only as necessary to support the service.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Midtrans. We do not store your card number or bank account details. We store transaction IDs, plan type, and payment status to manage your subscription.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymised page-view data (no personal information, no cookies required).
3. How We Use Your Data
- To create and manage your account.
- To provide the core service: generating interactive learning experiences from your content.
- To manage credits, subscriptions, and payments.
- To send transactional emails (subscription confirmation, plan expiry reminders).
- To improve reliability and performance through aggregated analytics.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content to train AI models.

Content sent to Anthropic Claude is processed according to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Anthropic does not use API data to train models.
5. Data Retention
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- Learning sessions: retained indefinitely so you can access your history.
- Uploaded files: stored temporarily on Vercel serverless infrastructure; not persisted to permanent storage unless you explicitly save the output.
- Transaction records: retained for 5 years for accounting and legal compliance.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Export your session history (available from your Dashboard).

7. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies set by Clerk for authentication. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookie-free.
8. Children
MatchupSkills is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the account promptly.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS, row-level security on our database, and access control on all API endpoints. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and to log out on shared devices.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect.
